Somerville snow emergency ends at noon Wednesday

I got an e-mail from the city saying that the snow emergency ends at noon on Wednesday, and that people have 2 hours after that to move their cars out of city lots.

Property owners have until noon on Thursday to clear their sidewalks.

(My landline's caller ID shows two calls from the city, neither of which left a voicemail message. I wonder how many other poeple missed these calls too.)

I got an email in a totally other language! It was some variant on French, maybe Haitian Creole. I was suitably impressed.

I got it too. It was in Haitian Creole.

I assume this means we can resume parking on the even sides again, though the plow left a good 3' of snow sticking out past the sidewalks in my neighborhood. Anyone know if this is as good as it gets? There's not enough parking around Ball Square to not use even sides, but I'm concerned about emergency equipment having enough space to get through with cars on both sides and all that snow.
