Car broken down on Cutter St in front of the Winter Hill Bank in Davis Square

Avoid Russell St and Cutter St if you can.
That car DIED, with loud grinding, crunching, breaking noises--no accident, just
a transmission eating itself or something. But nothing can get by until they move it. It was already a big snarl with a bus and more within a minute. This was at about 7:12 pm

I was just on the 96 about an hour ago (7:27 out of Harvard Sq) and the car seemed to have been moved at that point--I didn't notice the bus having any problem getting through. The windows are often so dirty it can be difficult to see as a passenger.

I passed through there just now and didn't see anything blocking traffic.

Makes sense, it was something that had to be dealt with immediately. There was a giant snarl of traffic in under a minute, and nobody would have been able to leave Davis in that direction because of it.
I wouldn't have wanted to be there for those 15? minutes though.
