So...is anything going into the Social Security building? Are there any current plans? Or is the city just fine with it staying empty until an all-natural sanctuary for emotionally traumatized possums decides to move in?

I actually would like to know if there are any plans for anything to move into that building. It's kind of ridiculous that it's been empty for so long.

Where is Alderman Gewirtz? Shouldn't she be there trying to smooth things over and help the process along? Or does she only know how to stand in the way of things?

I know she's busy in her new job and not running for re-election, but perhaps she should resign her seat if she can't do/is unwilling to do the Alderman job for the next 8 months.

But I thought killing business was what an alderman was supposed to do? At least that's the impression I always got from her actions.

Hearing that she's not running for re-election is the best news I've heard all day.
