So...is anything going into the Social Security building? Are there any current plans? Or is the city just fine with it staying empty until an all-natural sanctuary for emotionally traumatized possums decides to move in?

I actually would like to know if there are any plans for anything to move into that building. It's kind of ridiculous that it's been empty for so long.

The city approved Roche Bros. (Brothers Marketplace) months ago.

My understanding, from talking to people in both the city and Roche Bros, is that the landlord is having problems obtaining construction easements from neighboring property owners.

Where is Alderman Gewirtz? Shouldn't she be there trying to smooth things over and help the process along? Or does she only know how to stand in the way of things?

I know she's busy in her new job and not running for re-election, but perhaps she should resign her seat if she can't do/is unwilling to do the Alderman job for the next 8 months.
