Oven Repair

Hi! I'm looking for recommendations for an oven repair technician. The oven make is Bosch. Previously, we've used the "authorized" technician through Bosch's website, and we weren't happy with him, so I'm hoping to find an independent person with good recommendations. Thanks in advance!

I have had nothing but good experiences with Dell's Appliance Sales and Service.

Yes, so have I, (and the repair guy strongly suggested not running the oven through a full 'clean' cycle as it's a good way to kill the temperature sensor and thermocouple years ahead of time. A half-hour to an hour is all it needs.)

Same here. Another vote for Dell's Appliance.

I have recommended in the past and still do recommend Dell's also, pretty straight up labor pricing and parts did not seem over priced for what I found them online-cause I checked before I gave them the go ahead to order them. I would suggest you try to access the problem online yourself first though as it could be something simple; and was told thru Dell's years ago that Bosch equipment is expensive to repair, I'm guessing BMW equivalent of appliances (we have a Bosch dishwasher).

If you haven't already, I strongly encourage you to complain to Bosch about your previous bad experience.

Authorized techs are supposed to be trained in the nuances of the brands they're authorized on, have better -- sometimes exclusive -- access to replacement/repair parts, and overall assure customers of an experience comparable to the original purchase -- while unauthorized techs are a roll of the dice all around.

It's in the best interest of everyone involved -- other customers, the brand/company, other authorized techs -- for such authorized techs who aren't doing the job right to be de-authorized.
