240 Elm Street sidewalk is finally unobstructed and open!
Some time yesterday, the developer of 240 Elm Street finally removed all the remaining scaffolding, jersey barriers, and other obstructions on the Elm Street sidewalk. I don't know whether the city plans to move the bus stop back to its old location.
The Chester Street sidewalk is still blocked by continuing construction on that side of the building.
Here's an update from the Somerville Journal. No official word yet of who the new tenant will be to replace Roche Bros, but I keep hearing that it will be some sort of grocery.

*ahem* More to the point, I'm glad to hear that the sidewalk and stuff are clear. It always makes me nervous walking in the street, regardless of protection by waist-high things made of cement. As to new tenant--it would be great to have more grocery options in Davis Square, if that's what moves in. Ron, thanks as usual for posting this.
