Found has been Lost

Found, the used clothing consignment shop at 255 Elm Street, has closed. Someone identifying himself as the owner was standing outside a few minutes ago, and he told me that the landlord is "a greedy jerk who jacked up the rent, and is not a good person." He also said the shop had suffered from shoplifting. He hopes to find a new location where he can reopen it.

Wow, thank you for that stat. I had no idea what the landlord was asking for that space. At that price, the only thing that could go in and survive would be a national chain, I'd think.

And yet the landlord has always avoided renting to national chains, even while his neighbors did.

I very much appreciate that he's resisted what must be many inquiries to put an Urban Outfitters or an H&M there, indeed.
