Oat Shop Coming to Davis Square

In what sounds a bit like a hipster joke, a restaurant that specializes in oatmeal is scheduled to open this fall in an undisclosed Davis Sq. location.

I saw that, and thought what's next, artisanal mac&cheese? Actually, I'm sure it's been done.

I would've guessed mac&cheese before oatmeal.

Yup; Smac. It's actually pretty good, too. I remain dubious about the oatmeal thing, though.

Also MacBar, which is near Rice To Riches, a rice pudding joint (and originally a money laundering front, but it survived that getting busted.)
