Bead store (or similar) in the area?

I need to get a clasp on a necklace replaced, really simple, the kind of thing that's cost me about five bucks at various bead stores over the years. Last time I went to Boston Bead Company in Harvard, but they've apparently closed. Anybody know of a local place that could do such a thing? I'm striking out on google.

There was one in Davis on Holland street for many years. I used to go there all the time. I try to stay clear of Davis now but if it's still there I highly recommend them. Otherwise you could try Michael's.

To complete the info chain: Boston Bead Co moved from Harvard Sq to outside Davis, but just couldn't make the new location work. They closed earlier this year.

I recently found Bead + Fiber down in the SOWA Market area of the South End. Lovely little store and great folks. You could ask them if they do repairs or just classes: http://www.beadandfiber.net/

A search on Yelp shows a few more options, if Michaels or Bead + Fiber doesn't pan out https://www.yelp.com/search?find_desc=beads&find_loc=Somerville,+MA

And yes, totally hit up the many many local artists who might be able to help. If I'd done any beadwork in the past 5 years, I'd offer, but my skills are super-rusty. :)

Good luck!
