If someone does end up taking him in, and there are other cats in the household, please be aware that strays may harbor diseases that could spread to other cats. We had a wonderful cat who died while still quite young from feline leukemia virus (FeLV). It would be a shame for an act of charity to have this kind of unforeseen consequence.
