Wedding Location?

Can anyone suggest a place to hold a wedding in or near Davis Square? This could include Teele, Porter, etc. We'll have about 90 people. We're looking for good food and a space for about 3-4 hours--could be a restaurant, hall, or some other creative space.

Some considerations:
Parking--not everyone on our guest list is T-friendly. Valet parking might be an option.
Stairs--some guests won't be able to handle stairs too well.
Dancing--we don't require it, but some people are all about the dancing when it comes to weddings--we don't want to disappoint!

My fiance and I have been living here for three years, and really want to have our wedding in this community because we love it so much!

Thanks!

The first thing that comes to mind is the VFW Hall on Summer, near the Rosebud?

I'm not sure about the accessibility issues and parking constraints, but you might check out the Somerville Museum--friends have had great events there.

Is the actual ceremony being held on the same site? There are some churches with reception halls on College Ave, if you're of that persuasion... though I'm guessing you're shooting for something a little different.

Anthony's Function Hall, at Highland and Central, is often used for such purposes.

some of the more spacious resturaunts in the area would probably be open to renting the place out and catering, though it would probably be expensive

Depending on what time of year you're thinking about, if you're planning on holding the reception elsewhere anyhow a ceremony in Powderhouse Park could be very lovely.

It's also possible that, up in that corner of the neighborhood, Tufts might have rentable function halls etc.

(The Somerville Museum would have a tough time seating 90 for the dinner portion, I'd expect, but it's worth looking into - wonderful organization, and that staircase in the main hall is terrific.)

i know you guys are looking for something near davis, but have you considered the boston center for adult education's ballroom? it's pretty cheap by boston function hall standards and is so beautiful you barely need decorations. on comm ave just a block away from the public garden. (i went to a wedding there and it was wonderful.)
