Bus Replacement On Red Line Between Park Street and Kendall/MIT Stations
At least they picked a relatively quiet weekend this time. Originally this shutdown was scheduled for June 9-11, right after MIT and Harvard commencements, a weekend that included the Gay Pride march and four Red Sox home games against the Rangers. Someone with sense prevailed upon the T to postpone that shutdown, so we're having it this weekend instead.
If you possibly can, try to take the commuter train to and from Porter Square instead.
Effective at 9:00 p.m. Friday, July 7th, through the end of service on Sunday, July 9th, bus shuttle service will replace Red Line service between Park Street and Kendall/MIT Stations. This bus replacement service will allow the T’s contractor, Barletta Heavy Division access to the Red Line viaduct at Charles/MGH Station to perform necessary work.
