plain black tees?

anyone know if there's anywhere within walking distance of davis where i can buy plain black (men's) tees? the only place i can think is the goodwill but i'd prefer them to be new. extra brownie points for not breaking my wallet.

edit: awesome. thanks guys.

Brooks Pharmacy often has Hanes plain colored T-shirts. If you want to take the T a little bit you can try Tellos and the odd-lot store next to it.

Not most people's idea of "walking distance", but Target pretty much always has black "Jerzees" brand t-shirts in stock for around $6 or $7. In my experience, they wear as well as any but the really expensive heavy-duty t-shirts.

Both the 87 and 88 go near Target, as well. Catch it in front of the theater or Dunkin' Donuts, and basically get off when you see the Target sign.

87 goes closer, but either will work. Also 80 from Powderhouse.

obviously american apparel will break your wallet, but they've got good stuff.

then again, it's also not near davis square.

Actually: the best plain black Ts I have are from the Newbury Street AA, and they were not pricey at all. Maybe $10 or $12, unless I'm misremembering, and they're very comfortable, 100% cotton, and American-made.

And it's walking distance if you count the T as walking. :)

There's a Burlington Coat Factory right next to teh Stop and Shop in Porter Square, and a Gap over in the Porter Exchange. Or you can the 87 (or the 88?) to Target.

AC Moore, the giant craft store in Assembly Square has just about any color T-shirt you could want for only around $3 each.
