Photography Group?

Are there any photo clubs or groups that are active in the DS area? None of the Boston Flickr groups seem very active, so I figured I'd ask here. I haven't been active in a club since college and I miss having a bunch of real life photogs to talk to on a somewhat regular basis.

Thanks!

not that I know of, but I'd be interested if you wanted to pull something together.

I'm game also. Maybe we can start a special flickr group for people that show interest in this thread?

Yahoo bought them a while ago, and so what you need is a Yahoo account. Which sucks because Yahoo is really annoying in a lot of ways, not the least of which is their total unwillingness to provide an option blocking their members from sending you unsolicited Yahoo advertisements (in the form of "invitations") -- which isn't really substantially any different from their own employees sending spam without even an opt-out option. (Of course, if they did provide an opt-out option, nothing says they wouldn't intentionally opt you right back in whenever they feel like it -- a practice they've employed in the past.)

yup, well aware.
I have an old yahoo acct that I used to use for signing up on forums and such, so I resurrected that. heh.

Hi all! I'm fairly new to the general area, but I would be interested in a photography group as well.
