Writers Group

I'm looking to start a writers group in the Davis area- if you are interested in getting together on a Tuesday night and talking about writing, getting your work critiqued and critiquing other, leave me a comment . I was planning on doing this either at Diesel or Someday.

The first meeting of the Davis Square writers group will come to order on Tuesday . November 25th at 7 pm at the Someday Cafe.We'll be lurking in the back by the couches. It's OK if you can't make it exactly at 7- you can join the work in progress.

These are the ground rules

1. Please bring a short sample of your writing- 1 page to start with is good. If you can email it to the group beforehand that would be great, but if you can't, just bring enough copies for everyone.
2. Please be respectful of others work- constructive criticism is the name of the game
3. One person at a time speaks.
4. it will be more the form of a discussion then a one to one- I think this makes for a more dynamic thought process .
5. I expect it to be about 2 hours- if we are having fun- it may be more!

What sort of writing were you thinking of? Or did you just want to leave it open?

Any kind really- I find it hard to stay motivated if I have no feedback. I was hoping that we could workshop each others material and give constructive criticism.
