Apartment Hunting

Hello my Davis Square friends! My boyfriend and I are looking for a 2bdrm apartment within a 15 minute walk of Davis. (Unfortunately we also can't afford more than $1200 a month.) We are in search of a sunny, quiet place that includes heat and hot water, hardwood floors, a great kitchen, hopefully near a laundromat, and basically just a place that we can call home! Any leads would be appreciated! Thanks!

How do you like that building. I live on Dover st in a small apartment and I have always been curious about that building?

My fiancée and I will be leaving our current place on Albion St (10-15 min walk to Davis) some time between now and 8/1, though exactly when is currently up in the air (1st-time buying). It's looking more like closer to 8/1, though. When are you looking to move?

I should mention that it does not include heat, though it's gas and not too bad. 2nd floor of a 3-floor. It's 2 BRs plus dining room, living room, and kitchen (or 3 BRs, living room, and kitchen). Hardwood throughout except the bathroom and kitchen. Laundry hookup in the pantry, though it's 110V so your options are limited -- we have a 110V all-in-one unit that also doesn't require venting. Regardless, there's a laundromat less than a 5 min walk away at the corner Highland and Central. It also has two covered porches; one off the front BR and one off the kitchen.

I don't know where rental plans are at this point, but I can put you in touch with the rental agent if you're interested.

it's a very cute place. The apartment above mine, which is right next door, might also be available come 9/1, and I believe it's going to be $1500/month. I'm moving out 8/1, but I think that my place will be occupied as soon as I leave.

My landlord, though, might have other places available at the top of Central (not as close to Davis, but still a nice building) for less than that.

Yeah, only 2 showings and both within a couple of hours of each other! Now we can go back to the mess it was Friday night. :)

There's a 3 bedroom becoming available in my duplex as of June 1st, 1650, but a nice neighborhood (Sycamore and Willoughby Streets) and has all that you're asking for.
