Seeking props

I'm shooting a film in the Tufts area on Saturday and need two outstanding props:

- An old fashioned-looking shoeshine kit, with small tins and a wooden stand to put the shoes on, and
- Three bib aprons.

Would anyone have either of these lying around, so that I could borrow them? Failing that, where could I find these for sale? (The aprons are the priority here, but if anyone knows where I could find small, vintage-looking tins, that would be terrific.)

Thanks!

Do they need to be old and beat up looking? China Fair sells simple, plain tins for cheap. But, of course, they are new.

crud, my dad used to have a shoeshine kit which I used all of the time, but I don't know where it is now or if we still have it.

Try Abodeon on Mass Ave. They may not have what you're looking for but I bet they'd be able to help you out with finding something suitable.

The Museum of Useful Things in Harvard Square has one vintage shoeshine kit for sale. It's in very good condition and is packed with all sorts of necessary accessories— tins, rags, etc. It's $48.
