speaking of closed: China Fair - vacation or....?

Anyone know what is up with China Fair? I went by there today to buy a decent knife and found that they were closed w/o any note @ what was going on. It all looked pretty dusty (even more than it usually does).

If they are gone/gone fishin' anyone suggest a place to buy a decent kitchen knife (big/chopping/prop for horror film type).

I know nothing about China Fair, alas, but a cooking-happy coworker of mine says that the cheapest place to buy cutlery is Chinatown.

TAGS (Ace Hardware) in Porter Sq also has kitchenware, though it's probably more expensive.

Wow. That's saying something.

If you only want a knife for a prop, it might be worth checking out Goodwill.

I've never found China Fair's hours to be anything remotely predictable.
