nstar bills

just curious, did anyone else in somerville noticed a huge spike in their most recent electric bills? our power usage did not increase dramatically over the past month yet my bill jumped $15. we have oil heat, so not sure of the reason... any thoughts?

No idea why, but ours did too - we have electric heat, so it was even more dramatic. Ick.

Maybe it's part of the community sharing for all of the Xmas lites around town?

(no clue about what ours is since I handle a different set of bills (my gf pays that one)

hrm. last month we paid $23/person (in a 5-person house) and this month it's $27, so a total increase of about $20. yeah, that *is* weird.

Electricity rates...

Generally rise in the Winter months. Not sure why this is...

Take a look at the Killowatt Hours consumed between your december and november bills and see if either:

a. your consumption has gone up
b. consumption has gone up, but rates have stayed the same
