Wedding DJ

Would anyone recommend an excellent wedding DJ from the general Boston area?

Thanks!

David Day is good. He djs at the Middlesex bar on Thursday nights in Cambridge as well as the Enormous Room. If he can't dj for it, he can help you find one that will. He dj'd for my friend, Kerry's wedding and was well received. Here is his info:

Since I was in the midst of retro-tagging, I tagged your post "wedding" along with some old posts. If you click on the tag, you'll find a similar question from two years ago, but I don't know if responses that old are helpful.

My husband Jim DJs weddings. You can email him at ningnong2 [at] gmail [dot] com. He doesn't do any cheesy stuff - no Electric Slide, no cheesy DJ voice, no Mambo #5. Just so you know.

[livejournal.com profile] phatmike loves to do non-cheesy weddings. No games, no over-talking, and plenty of good music that will keep people dancing.

We liked Brett Heaney with Crackerjack Entertainment (they were in turn recommended to us by our upstairs neighbors who also really liked him).

addambomb - I'm a former wedding photog in the area - I've seen a ton of djs and addam is amazing. He's got an amazing voice, deep catalog (he gets everyone on the dance floor knows how to beat match and bring together tons of music - I've seen him to swing themed weddings, electronic, traditional 70s/80s, way old school, all new, and everything in between - he will get the 10 yr olds, the 80 yr olds and everyone in between dancing) and he isn't cheesy - no props no gimicks just an amazing amazing dj (and one of the nicest people on the planet)

KEN DOUCETTE from KBD Entertainment. He's awesome! Two people hired him for their events after our wedding & we hired him after we heard him at someone else's. Very professional, very flexible. I can't say enough good things about him, he was AWESOME. Our wedding was five years ago & people still tell me how much fun they had and how great the DJ was!

Greg Gates of Entertainment Concepts does a great job. He'll tailor the show to your wants/needs and has a great rapport with many of the area event halls. You can reach him via his website: http://www.djgreggates.com/
