CVS/Boston Sports Club Parking

Is there a designated parking area for CVS/Boston Sports Club employees/customers?  Or, will the opening cause more parking problems in Davis?  Although I'm hopeful that many people can walk there and I'm excited about their openings, I'm guessing that parking is about to get a lot harder to find in the Day St vicinity.

As far as I know, there isn't. The building received an exemption from parking requirements, mainly because it replaced another building that also covered 100% of its lot.

There's something really goofy about people *driving* to a *health* club readily accessible by foot/bike/T...

I'm sure people will do it anyway, though.

CVS is probably less of a factor: I would think that anybody who's going to drive to CVS will just go the extra 2 minutes' drive down Elm St to the CVS at Porter Sq Shopping Center.

In my case, the closer CVS will make me significantly less likely to hop in the car when I need something - while the Porter station CVS is a 15-20 minute walk or T ride, the Davis CVS is about half that, and therefore more walkable.

Hopefully, this convenience will be the case for enough of people to offset some of the cars on the road due to the store's new opening.
