Sewing, Fashion Design Meet-Up

Is anyone interested in getting together for some sewing sessions? I just ordered a skirt making book on Amazon that I'd be happy to share. I'm dying to try out some of the designs. I'm a relative beginner (I took the Intensive Sewing classes from Sparks Crafts earlier this year) but my love of fashion will hopefully make up for my lack of skills :) Oh, if you know of any sewing groups in the area, please let me know. Thanks!

I'm a knitter, I'd be up for a general stitch and bitch type thing.

Ditto for crocheting.

I would be up for a sewing meetup! I've been wondering for a while if there was such a thing :)

I'm also a relative beginner, self-taught; I've made this bag (http://www.geocities.com/tankboy17/squirrel/) (from no pattern), a Beauxbatons costume (http://www.geocities.com/tankboy17/Beauxbatons/hat_wrap2_sm.jpg) by altering a pattern to have a collar and cuffs (using an old Reader's Digest Guide to Sewing for help) and improvising the wrap myself, and this pillow (http://www.geocities.com/tankboy17/unfinished-pillow.jpg) (which still needs to be sewn closed). However, I moved out of Davis Square, so I'm further away in Waltham now :(

I have a number of patterns which I have yet to try, including some for stretchy tshirt-y tops (and I already have various stretchy material for it).

Not quite what you asked for, but there's a knitting and cross-stitching group at the West Branch Library. From the library's calendar, it appears that the group meets every Monday from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.

I'm interested! I handsew and machine at home--quilts, plush, pillows, curtains, skirts--and I'd like to get better, share tricks, learn tricks, and maybe find that perfect pattern for an A-line sheath dress. It much be out there somewhere!

Awe man, This would be a lot of fun, I used to work at a Bridal shop (for 6 years ) a few years ago, and then at a costume shop for a while as a wradrobe mistress. I've recent;y regained my sewing table and a bit of space to start stitching again.
Lets do it!

P.S. Knitters, there's a Kitting group that meets at Porter Square Books on certain Sundays.
