DVD Store?

Hey guys, what's the closest place to Davis Square that sells new DVDs? Best Buy or someplace like that, that is accessible withOUT a car? I can't find anything, which seems so silly...

Harvard Square, Newbury Comics.

Or, duh, Hollywood Express. But Newbury has a better selection.

Blockbuster in Porter probably sells them too, but better to support a local chain like the two mentioned above.

Although it should also be said that Newbury Comics has a much larger selection and better prices.

i think the blockbuster used prices are often lower, but selection is poopy

if some T travel is OK, taking the redline to Andrew and going to the mega-plaza is fairly simple and can be nice a couple times a year. It has a Best Buy, Target, and Circuit City (for DVDs), and a few other big stores as well.

Yeah, giving money to Blockbastard is never a good thing.

If you really need a Best Buy, closest one is in the Cambridgeside Galleria mall. Take bus 87 or 88 from Teele or Davis Square, or bus 80 from Ball Square. The mall also has a Borders.

(But again, I'd rather support a local chain.)

There's another larger Newbury Comics in Alewife, across from the Whole Foods and in the same plaza as Kappy's.

You can take the 87 to the Target just outside Union Square.

Or the 88, for that matter (get off at Glass Stop and walk across the street to Target)
