I really hope so. The conventions and delegates have felt increasingly irrelevant as of late, it'd be nice to feel like the whole thing's not decided by NH and SC for once.

the rest of the state is really anybody's guess. where i grew up in MA it's pretty conservative so i see a lot of signs on yards for mccain and paul, a few for romney still. obama has little hold there. even out in the happy valley he might have a tough fight with hillary supporters.

this is why i don't do politics reporting :P i really don't have any expertise here.

I'm just glad that a woman and a black man are running so we don't have the usual P.C. wank about how "it's another white Protestant man blah blah blah."

But then in the unlikely event that the democrats don't win the white house, its going to be RACISM! SEXISM!

I thought that was why you guys had the Mormon and the Italian as backup.

I am actually surprised at how little of that there's been so far. I figured more would have cropped up by now.

Because tis the season of change in politics and the dems are leading. If they stumble and things turn around before November, I'm sure you will hear those charges.

[identity profile] closetalker11.livejournal.com 2008-01-09 06:09 pm (UTC)(link)
But I bet those charges won't come from the Obama or Clinton camps themselves; they'll let other media outlets do that talking for them (like CNN constantly assuming that all black people will vote for Obama, or the "Iron my shirt!" guy).

"Iron my shirt guy"? Some campaign is trying to corner the wrinkled-shirt demographic?

[identity profile] closetalker11.livejournal.com 2008-01-09 06:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Apparently, someone at a Clinton rally this weekend held up some laundry yelling, "Iron my shirt!! Iron my shirt!!" The implication was that a woman should be ironing shirts, not running for president.

It was a radio stunt as a joke. A stupid radio joke I should add.

Really? Hmm, the more you know. And yeah, that's just ... dumb.
