farmer's markets

Hi all -- I just joined this community. I'm graduating from college, and moving to Orchard Street in two weeks from New Jersey!

My question is this..
Are there any farmer's markets around the Davis area? There's one downtown in my town in NJ, and since I don't know the Davis area that well yet, I thought I'd ask here. I'd prefer to buy local produce if possible...

there's one smack in the middle of davis square - wednesdays 12-6, starting in late may. there are about 15 vendors (though how many varies depending on whether they have anything to sell).

Here (http://www.massfarmersmarkets.org/) is a list of the area markets, including the one in Davis Square, with days, times, and precise locations. The one in Davis begins just two weeks from Wednesday!

I love farmer's markets too, and I was wondering the same thing.

I grew up in NJ, where did you live? I lived in South Brunswick for 7 years and Hillsborough for 5.

oh, so you know where i live -- new brunswick (i'm graduating from rutgers)! it's so great to not just say "new jersey," when asked where i live :)

Cool! A lot of my old NJ friends went to Rutgers too. What did you study?

i don't think so? i'm an english minor, so i've taken quite a bit of classes in the dept (http://english.rutgers.edu), but i've never heard of her..maybe she's comp lit?
