Elm Street (ex-Jimmy Tingle) theatre reopening

According to the print edition of yesterday's Somerville News, the owners of the 255 Elm Street building have obtained an entertainment license to reopen the former Jimmy Tingle theatre. The article is not online and does not provide much detail.

The News article says that the owners' names are Robert and Micah Goren, but the sign on the front says GORIN BUILDING.

Perhaps somebody should ping [livejournal.com profile] new_man and ask him about it?

Last I heard, the Boston Babydolls had expressed interest in purchasing it.

If that's true, I wonder what happened to all the money that guy raised... hmm.

Screw it, who are the landlords? I'm just going to call them and ask.

Ah, that part I missed. Never mind then, a journalist has more authority than a private citizen.

I'll consider it. Also, keep an eye on [livejournal.com profile] davis_snark, something we both want gone seems to be coming back from the dead.

[livejournal.com profile] new_man was selling "shares" of his business, which was to open in the jimmy tingle space.. i'm not sure how much he raised or who, if anyone, from here was involved, nor what paperwork was involved.

Not that it's anyone's business except mine and the investors, but all the money that was raised was returned once the landlords made it clear they weren't going to rent it to me.
