Boston Burger Company is now open

Boston Burger Company is now open in the space formerly occupied by Antonia's, next to JP Licks. Contrary to earlier rumors, they did not expand into the former Breathe Spa space next door; that is still vacant.

Their web site appears to be BostonBurgerCo.com. They have menus posted outside, but the menus do not list the URL. That may be just as well, since the menu on the web site is far too small to read easily (at least, for someone my age). I would e-mail them, except that the Contact Us page contains only directions, and no actual contact info.

EDIT 5:15 pm: Here's a link to a fully readable image of the menu. There's also now an e-mail address on the Contact Us page.

EDIT 4/7, 8 pm: Here's a link to a fully readable image of the menu. Dear Boston Burger Company: please don't move it again.

I'm not at all enthused by the fact that they have a $1 surcharge to substitute a veggie patty (or turkey) in place of the standard beef burger.

That, and the "Terodactyl" wings.

this. I was curious whether they'd have veggie at all, glad they do (obv. it remains to be seen whether they are any good . . . ) but quite disappointed to see the surcharge. That's discouraging. (I realize it's probably a scale purchasing thing, but meat's expensive, right? Shouldn't a veggie burger be cheaper for them?)

Shouldn't a veggie burger be cheaper for them?

And what's weirder is that the veggie burger with their pre-selected toppings is cheaper -- so it costs up to $2 more (price difference for normal burger + surcharge) to get it with some other selection of toppings. Is reaching for the mushrooms instead of the avocado really that hard?

I looked at their menu earlier today and was shocked to see that veggie and turkey are $1 more than angus beef. I know that some places charge LESS for a veggie burger but have never seen $1 more.

this surcharge pretty much guarantees that we won't bother eating here. charging more for a veggie burger is just plain bad customer service. i enjoy burgers a lot but having a vegetarian in my party who not only has such limited choices but then has to pay more the privilege is not going to lure me into any high-end burger joint.
