Three juried crafts/art shows 12/5

Not in Davis, but in Somerville and there are several Davis artists showing/represented.

On Saturday, Dec. 5, 11 am to 5 pm there are THREE art/crafts fairs in close proximity.
Somerville Museum, Union Square and Washington Street Studios are ALL having sales of original work by local artists.

On Sunday, Dec. 6 the Somerville Museum will continue for a second day with jury selected artists, mulled cider and snacks, and the Somerville Museum itself with it's current Mosaics show.

We'd love to see you here!

And one more event that day:

Paper & Chocolate holiday extravaganza

The denizens of 561 Windsor Street in Somerville are opening their doors for an open house and holiday extravaganza this Saturday, December 5.

Taza Chocolate will be giving factory tours, chocolate tastings and opening their "store" from 10 until 6. QRSTs, the silkscreen studio, will have t-shirts galore.

Upstairs, the folks at Albertine Press will be giving antique letterpress demonstrations (kids can help crank the press!) and sharing their studio space for the day with other paper and book artists Carta, Inc., May Day Studio, PressBound and more from 11 until 5. Get your hand-printed and hand-bound holiday cards, 2010 calendars, coasters, journals and so much more!

Free parking is available. These events are often very crowded so families are encouraged to come earlier or later in the day to enjoy some elbow room. More info on http://www.albertinepress.com and http://www.tazachocolate.com .
