Bowling Tomorrow!

Just a reminder on behalf of the organizers that tomorrow (Saturday) at 7pm is the first Davis Square LJ Bowling Meet-up!

We've got 32 people already registered and can fit up to 48, so there's room for walk-ins if you're interested (first-come, first-served). It's $9 for 2.5 hours of exciting candlepin (including shoes) with your bestest online friends!

They don't serve food or drink which means we can bring whatever we want, so consider a little something to share. There is a great liquor store (Ball Square Fine Wines) right there as well as several convenience stores and various take-out places, so options abound even if you don't plan ahead.

The mysterious alley of myth and legend is in Ball Square on Boston Ave just off Broadway. See a bunch of you there!

Here's a Google Map and StreetView of the bowling alley. It's just across the Medford city line (or maybe even right on the line).

You're so on top of things, Ron. I was going to ask for either an address of a name of the alley - though I suppose it's the only Bowling alley on Boston Ave just off Bway.

This is true. If we were doing this in the bowling district, I'd have been much more specific.

Yahoo says the address is 662 Boston Ave, Medford. Google Maps doesn't like that address. The name is just Ball Square Bowling.

Could someone who helped organize tomorrow's event pass along the contact information for booking the alley? Here or in a message, if you prefer. I checked the previous posts on the topic and didn't find this.

I totally want to rent the place out for a birthday party. Maybe I'll tell him DSLJ sent me... so don't trash the joint tomorrow. :)

Okay...that map shows something called "Ball Square Laser". Is this some sort of super-secret government project hidden in the bowels of the old Ball Square Cinema? Or maybe some evil scientist laboratory underneath the old Wing Workz? Maybe a laser hair removal place? I checked Yelp and there are no reviews. I've been in the neighborhood 15 years and have no idea what they are referring to.

My guess is an eye doctor -- Lasik surgery.

I called the phone number on the Yelp page, (866) 625-2737 , and they answsered "Laser Shear", whatever that is.
