Verizon DSL woes?

Does anyone else here have Verizon DSL, and have you noticed it being unbelievably, painfully slow for the past several days? I'm talking, like, click a link and walk away for ten minutes slow. I can hardly get anything to load. Gmail keeps timing out. I've run some diagnostics from dslreports.com and gotten some very odd results.

I was thinking it was just me (I did call Verizon support and the guy tried to lay the blame on my antivirus software *roll eyes*) but I just heard from a friend in the area that she's having issues as well, so I thought I'd ask....

Roofer recommendation?

Any recommendations for a roofer? I'm in a 6-unit condo building....flat roof. (I have no idea if that matters) We need to get the whole roof recovered. Anyone especially fair and reliable? Any horror stories?

Passover seders?

It's almost Passover!

Which I only just noticed, because I'm a bad Jew. But I'd like to take my mom, who's a good Jew, to a community seder on Tues if I can find tickets. My mom is elderly has some mobility issues, though, so while she likes prayers I'd prefer a relaxed enough scene where she could feel comfortable moving around if she needs to.

Can anyone recommend some synagogues in the Greater Boston or Camberville area that I could call and try to scrounge up last-minute tix? I'm thinking like the Jewish equivalent of a Unitarian church. I also can't afford like $50/pp, so fancy suburban places are probably out - even just some nice, welcoming people and gefilte fish on matzo would be fine. :P Thanks!

any news on Ikea/assembly square?

I was thinking about a trip to the Stoughton store and it got me wondering about the Assembly Square store & redevelopment there.  There's been a lot of construction activity, but I haven't seen any new news about it. 

Has anyone heard if the construction is going as planned?  Are there delays of problems because of the bad economy?  

Scanner, Copy Shop?

I have a 15.5" by 19.5" piece of paper I need to get scanned. My local Staples doesn't have a scanner big enough. So does anyone know of a copy shop in the area with a big enough scanner for the job?
