The "Japantown" of boston seems to be located in the Porter Square Galleria (where Uno's was), I'd suggest looking there.
Not sure if you'd consider it "Around Here" or if carryout is an option, but they have a pretty substantial Bento Box lunch at the Ginger Pad restaurant in Burlington at the Wayside Commons strip mall (the one with LL Bean, Borders, etc)
are you looking to have a restaurant give you a bento lunch or are you looking to purchase actual bento boxes so you can make bento lunches at home? :)
Tokai, the knick-knack store in Porter Square should have some. Greenward might have "bento boxes" of the Laptop Lunch variety. Kofuku in Harvard Square will also have bento boxes, but a smaller variety than Tokai in Porter.
Having seen a few there just this past weekend, I can confirm rethcir's suggestion, with one slightly pedantic correction: so-called "Little Tokyo" is actually in the Porter Exchange Building (where City Sports and CitiBank are), not the Galleria (where Uno's was).
You did mean to make your own lunches, right? As in, you're not looking for a place to get lunch, you're looking for a place to get empty bento boxes for your own use?
Wow, you all are fast... thanks so much. I'll take a look at "the place in Porter" (I'd actually crossed that off my list because I'd thought that since Kotobukiya (sp?) closed, it was basically just restaurants there now). I'll also check out the place in Harvard.
Yes, I should have been more clear -- it's for making my own lunches in.
Reliable Market in Union Square has them, I think. If they do, they'd be over near the saki and soju. They're a Korean market, but they have a lot of Japanese products.
I seem to recall there being bento boxes on a lower shelf, near the saki sets and chopsticks.
the little store in Harvard Sq - across from Urban Outfitters - i think it's called Kofuki, with a giant Totoro outside. They have a million different ones, and cheaper than Tokai :)
http://www.ebisuyamarket.com/ is the new Kotobukiya. They'ed in medford now. They often have bento boxes for sale. Typically, it's more the functional "plastic, sealable box." and not the fancy wooden ones.
Reliable is similar, and usually a little cheaper. They may have less though. In both cases, the selection seems to change often, depending on what they get shipped.

Those are the ones that have the biggest selections, I believe.

You might also want to try H-Mart in Burlington.
