Hodgkins-Curtin field ribbon-cutting ceremony

From Arn Franzen, Director of Parks and Open Space in the Mayor's Office of Strategic Planning & Community Development:

Hello Hodgkins-Curtin Park Friends and Neighbors,

I am happy to announce that the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Hodgkins-Curtin Ball Field will be on Saturday morning, July 30th, from 10am to noon. Please save the date, and bring your family and friends to join in the celebration with Mayor Joseph Curtatone, Alderman Robert Trane, and the rest of the Hodgkins-Curtin ("Yellow Park") Community. The celebration will include a Somerville Little League Exhibition game as well as relay races, big ball volley ball, inflatable basketball, a football throwing contest and much more! Refreshments will be provided.

Please see the attached flyer and spread the word to friends and neighbors. I hope to see you on July 30th at 10:00 am.

It is early and we are so happy about it!! I can't tell you how many skeptical parents I talked to about them hitting their opening date and I'm very proud of the city for being ahead of schedule on this one! Somerville is great!
