In tiny fluffy requests, in a medium like this one with no length limit (and in which you can have text rather than the full URL displayed if you like), I would prefer to have the full URL rather than a shortener provided so that I have a better idea of what I might be clicking.

Good to know - I appreciate your saying it. I wasn't sure if the cuteness of the bit.ly "hey - it is customized with our event name! Wow!" negated the "whoa, where will this take me!" aspect :)

I didn't know you could customize a bit.ly URL. How do you do that? Their FAQ only talks about custom domains, which aren't the same thing.

Ron, it was my predecessor at MFM who made the nice bit.ly, so I don't know - I will try to find out though because it's wicked cool!
