Goin' down at the Burren?

Any clue what was going down at the Burren tonight? I had dinner there, then went to JP Licks. When I walked back past, maybe 20 minutes later, there were six S'ville police cars outside, at least twice that many officers, and a four-year old appeared to be handcuffed to a stroller. I'm pretty sure that last part was an adult keeping a child distracted/entertained, but they did seem very much in the middle of the police circle. I never heard any sirens during that time.

Any clue?

A friend mentioned that she saw an altercation last night between Dunkin Donuts and Anna's. A man and a woman got into an apparent altercation (with racist undertones, from what my friend overheard). Punches were thrown. Police was called.

I really have no idea, though. This would have been between 6 and 8 pm, ish?

There was a (clearly crazed/drugged out) man repeatedly crossing Elm in front of the Burren and harrassing drivers and pedestrians around 6. I would not be at all surprised if his behavior escalated.

Was it the tall, skinny, blond homeless guy who has recently had a sign saying he has the flu?

I don't know about the sign, but the physical description is right. My friend and I didn't have a light for him, and he got pretty aggressive.

If it's the same guy... well, he is usually not looking very sober. He's been better recently, but the first time I saw him he was groping himself in front of Bri's jewelry stand and muttering about the universe.
