Where to find fresh salsa/pico de gallo in walking distance?

So yesterday we were going to make burritos for dinner, but we had no fresh salsa/pico. (Comm'l jarred stuff is not what we were looking for.) It being a lovely day to walk, I racked my brain to think of somewhere in walking distance that I thought might have fresh salsa/pico, and couldn't think of anywhere (we did try Shaw's in the end, no luck). Ended up with somebody having to drive to Whole Foods, which is fine, but not ideal. Anybody have any suggestions for the next time?

Would either Dave's Fresh Pasta or Pemberton Farms have this?

Anna's or Chipotle?

Haha I actually like this idea because their pico is pretty simple and pretty simple.

If you live near a bodega of some sorts they sometimes have fresh vegetables.... good luck!

Stop and Shop has a pre-packaged-but-not-canned salsa in their refrigerated section, near the refrigerated salad dressings and salad mixes. Also, pico is super easy to make from scratch. This recipe (http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2007/06/pico_de_gallo_a) is good and basic, and you could easily vary ingredient amounts if you wanted more or less of something.

No, but it was the closest thing I could think of that I knew for a fact had it, and the one on McGrath IS a quick bus ride away (on the 89).

Pemberton Farms often has fresh salsa in the deli case.

You might also check at Boston Burger Company; they've started selling jars of their salsa, so they might sell you the fresh stuff there at the store.

Pemberton Farms. Absolutely.

Dave's Fresh Pasta might have something similar or locally-made and refrigerated, but probably not made-on-premise. Market Basket is a further walk, but also might have locally-made.

Anna's makes their own Salsa, and they sell it, although not in quantity.

Does Rudy's (in Teele) make their own salsa? I can't recall.

Davis Square Farmer's Market (on the appropriate days) may not have fresh salsa, but you can certainly get the ingredients to make your own.

Don't bother with Anna's salsa. I got some with chips last week and it was the blandest and saddest thing I've ever eaten. Might as well just make it yourself.

late to answer, but why didn't you just make your own?
