How about a nice little question about local computer parts?

I have to get a new power cable/adapter thing for my iBook G4 (it's the cable thing with the white square adapter and a round plug). I emailed the Mac repair person recommended a couple of years ago in this community, but never got a response. Any other suggestions for where to get used computer parts (especially Mac) in the Somerville area?

(Yes, I know about the MIT Flea, but I don't think I'll be able to make it there this month. Also, they charge admission, which might add too much extra cost to this one small thing I need than I can really afford right now.)

Thanks in advance!

(Oh, and yes, I still technically live in Maine, but I have to be in Somerville next week for a bit.)

Is it this one (http://azsurplus.com/images/apple_m7332.JPG)? Because I have one stuffed in the back of a drawer somewhere and you can totally just have it.

Or wait no, that would not be it.

Used Mac power cords tend to be cheaper and easier to get online (ebay, Amazon), even with shipping.

AngelTronics in Ball Square has been known to carry them, but not very cheap ($40ish, iirc).

There's a phone number for them on Yelp if you don't mind calling.

Angeltronics just closed to move elsewhere; someone posted about it last week I believe. I just found my old cable if you need it Turil. I believe it was working fine when the ibook last worked, but that was several years ago.

If I needed a random computer part, I'd go to Microcenter in Cambridge.

I don't think they carry parts for PBG4s.

I recommend Ebay. Buy only from people in the USA if possible and people with 99+% approval ratings - as close to 100% as possible. Read the negative comments. See if they respond to them. I've never had a problem with someone on Ebay with a 99%+ rating who responds to their negative ratings.
