Specifically, it's at the corner of Beacon and Oxford streets.

if they want to visit a bike shop near Porter Square, Cambridge.
If they do, they will click through.
So posting it here is not helpful. Just clutter.
It be fair more useful to those who don't click through, to say something about the shop.
E.g. this shop specializes in bikes and accessories for urban street riding.
Not recreational bicycles.
Not mountain bicycles.

Look, you posted on a Somerville-based discussion group. If anything, mentioning that it is in Somerville defends the post being made to the community, which is NOT purposed for Porter Square, Cambridge. Moreover, people can comment with whatever they want to, they have no requirement to add helpful information to your promotional post.

We obviously have very different views of the world, the Internet and livejournal forums.
FTR, I have no interest in this shop, so I'm not "promoting" it. I'm unlikely to buy anything there.
It's a new store that could be of use to people who live near Davis Square, which is on average, less than a mile away.

He has posted quite a few off-topic taste-less posts in this thread,
now deleted.
And has reminded me of why I seldom use live journal anymore,
& why most people I know have moved elsewhere.
