Do you know the owner of this lost dog?

The dog is on the bike path near Willow Avenue, against the fence that abuts the RCN property. He's skittish of strangers, so we don't want to chase him into traffic. He seems safe where he is, but if you know the owner, please alert him/her about the loose pooch. I've called Animal Control and 311, so they are aware.

DA BAO has been found!!! Thank you to Cambridge ACO Alison Price! Lost Somerville Dog! Please Share! !DO NOT CHASE! VERY SKIDDISH! DA BAO (pronounced DAH BOW): Spayed female mixed breed dog. Missing from the Alpine/Cedar St area. DA BAO was last seen running on the bike path between Willow Ave & Davis Sq headed TOWARD Davis. She is wearing a green collar with a Somerville dog license and an ID tag. She does have a microchip but the information be incorrect. If you come across DA BAO, please call Dan (owner) at 617-780-4134 and report the sighting. You may also call 617-625-1212 and ask that animal control be dispatched to your location !DO NOT CHASE! Please report sightings ASAP!

Hi,

That's my dog! I guess she got away from our house today which is being worked on. She is back now though. She was born to run and loves the bike path so much she instinctively runs there.

Thanks so much for posting this. I appreciate you trying to help out with getting her back. We will need to do more to keep her in the yard in the future.

Did you intentionally name your dog "To go"? If you did, that's hilarious and I tip my hat to you. If you didn't well...now you know that "da bao" means "to go" in Chinese!
