UPS deliveries

I've found that the UPS delivery driver is dropping packages without a knock or a doorbell ring recently; quite the contrary to the past behavior of requiring a signature when one wasn't actually required. Maybe it's a new guy? I live close to the Cutter/Highland intersection.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I have contacted UPS customer service and they got back to me promptly with an apology for the driver releasing the package without any notification and asked for the package tracking number so they could look into it.

Track your online purchases carefully, everyone! :)

I know the post office tries to use judgement base partly on the carrier's memory of the customers desire. Of course the PO visits each house every day; and it's usually the same person 5 out of 6 days, and the 6-day substitute is also a regular for that route. They don't have any database to record this information and make it available to the carrier - quite important when there is a non-regular substitute. If there is a spot on the porch that isn't visible they are more likely to leave it than if it is visible from the street.
