Muffin-quest

I've decided to go on a quest! A quest to find the best bran muffins in the area. Yes, I know that this seems like a really silly quest, but I really like good bran muffins. Don't judge me.

Anyway, does anyone have suggestions of where I can find good bran muffins?

I haven't tried their muffins, but Magnificent Muffin in Teele sounds like a candidate. :)

They are indeed good!

Unless they've improved in the last few years, unfortunately not. Dry and tasteless.

We like the ones at Kickstand Cafe in Arlington Ctr. I think the same bakery supplies other restaurants in the area -- you might find the muffins at Porter Sq Books too.

I have liked the ones at the Italo bakery on Main St. in Medford. But they don't always have them. (They keep them up in the back behind the register if they have them.)

So if I go in for the really nice pizza and see the muffins I'll grab 'em, but I don't count on being able to get them.

I am interested in your quest as well, though--report back on your findings.

Magnificent muffins has a second location in W. Medford by the commuter rail.

which does not have the same owner, according to the people I asked at one of the shops (I can't remember which anymore). They used to be affiliated, but now just share a name.
