Welcome back Market Basket

Arthur T. is getting full control of the company, as reported by the Globe. There will be private equity in the company, which is a little worrisome, but if it doesn't hurt his management style I don't mind in the slightest.

Welcome back, Artie T.

I know where I'm going tomorrow morning (even though I probably won't be able to buy a whole lot there yet)

I was there yesterday to return MB brand bottles, and the shelves were not empty. Although there were definitely voids, and I didn't check out the produce section.

If/when you go, please report back here! I'm debating (as I'm sure many of us are) how long to wait. :)

I went around 2:30 pm on Thursday. Some areas were reasonably well-stocked. Some weren't, most notably produce, meat, dairy products other than milk and soymilk, and health & beauty aids. Despite the merchandise depletion, the store felt like a happy place once again ... and wasn't too crowded yet.

that's a relief.

This is great news! Hopefully they will be fully restocked again soon at the Somerville store.

As of 11 AM Friday, the meat department and deli were up and going. The produce department had a few things but there were starting to restock apples and other fruit. The rest of the shelves looked pretty stocked.

I was in yesterday afternoon, and there were some empty areas. By this afternoon, they'd already gotten a decent amount of produce in, and the shelves are a whole lot less bare, but the traffic isn't crazy-making yet.
