Street sweeping parking ticket

Over a month ago, I found a street sweeping parking ticket on my windshield. I kept meaning to pay it, but time beat me. What happens if I don''t pay it nor get any follow-up correspondence?

the fine will go up so you'll end up eventually paying more than the original amount. and you will pay it if you ever decide to renew your license or registration.

They will continue to add late fees until a maximum, which I don't recall off the top of my head, is reached. I'm pretty sure the maximum is not more than $100. If you have outstanding late parking tickets, Somerville will put a hold on your car registration, thus preventing you from re-registering your car when the time comes.

If you accumulate enough tickets, or enough total outstanding money, they will boot your car, and if they boot your car, they will tow it shortly thereafter. It will prevent you from renewing your registration. It probably will prevent you from renewing your license. This effect may happen in other states, depending on whether they share their databases with MA.

You can pay by phone or on the website, and all you need is your license plate number. I strongly recommend you pay it postehaste.

The parking nazis will find you. And they will charge you many late fees.

If you log onto the City of Somerville webpage, you can see tickets listed by lisence plate #. I think . . .
