ISO Poppyseed Hamentaschen

It's nine days to Purim, has anybody seen poppy-seed hamentaschen for sale locally?

Some years ago, Star Market carried them, but they've stopped; at least, there were none there last night and they don't even have a Purim display this year, so.

Sadly, I haven't seen them anywhere in years. In the last few years, I've seen some that looked as if they were poppy seeds, but then turned out to be some sort of paste/jam that barely had any poppy seeds.

Not sure how local you want to be, but Kupel's in Brookline is probably a safe bet. That's where I used to get them.

My friend who works at Tatte Bakery (http://tattebakery.com/) says they're selling them! They have a couple of locations, including some in Cambridge. Might be on the pricey side, though.

There's a note on Yelp that says that the cafe inside Porter Square Books (inside the big Porter Square shopping plaza) has carried hamentaschen in the past. Presumably supplied by one of the local bakeries, such as Kupel's or Tatte's, that produces them. Don't know about Rosie's in Inman but I would check via phone if you don't want to truck out to Brookline. Have a great holiday.

Cool. Just note that it's unclear if they are carrying the pastries this year. You might want to give them a call first.

Cheryl Ann's in Brookline. It's a trek, but oh so worth it.

Hamentaschen were listed in this week's Stop&Shop circular, but they didn't include a flavor list, and I haven't investigated in person yet.
