New and worthy in the square

I'm making my annual pilgrimage back to Davis and Ball squares to check on my property. I understand that a lot has changed since last summer, and I'm wondering what interesting, fun and noteworthy places I should check out while in town. I lived in the area for 10 years before I moved, so no need to tell me check out True Grounds or Diesel - but newer recommendations would be welcome.

the all-new Rosebud. The Italian food place that replaced Sessa's.

Agree with poster above. We are addicted to Pepe Bocca's food (in Davis Square, where Sessa's used to be).

And Frozen Hoagies in the Powerhouse Rotary (on Broadway actually, near the rotary) is delicious. The ice cream has a superb, creamy consistency, and the cookies are freshly (just-out-of-the-oven) baked. The servings are enormous!

Spoke Wine Bar on Holland St next to Dave's Pasta does interesting drinks and food. You need a reservation for a table, but I've walked in fairly early in the evening and found a seat at the bar.

Opinion is mixed on Meju, the Korean place where McDonald's used to be, but I like it (especially the pork buns). They're new enough that they're still getting their balance, so service can be inconsistent (it was great two of the three times I went, and really bad the third), but I've found the food & cocktails to be great. I'm hoping enough folks will go that they'll stick around long enough to get consistent.

Guess they've been around a couple years by now, but Amsterdam Falafel is pretty good.

If you haven't been to Assembly Square in years, you'll be amazed what it looks like today. And they have a new farmers' market on Sundays.
