I found Liz Washburn via this older post about pet-sitters. She looked after our kitties for a week while we were away last year, and did a great job.

Let me second and third Liz Washburn. She takes care of my parrots regularly. They're exotics and most pet sitters don't know how to deal with them well. Liz learned and she is totally AWESOME. Our birds like her, too. She's Very responsive and responsible, and has proven over the years that we've used her that she is fabulous.
