Winter Hill Brewing opens tomorrow (Friday) at 4 pm

For some strange reason they announced it in a Facebook post instead of on their website blog.

Winter Hill Brewing is at 328 Broadway, just east of School Street. It is Somerville's third brewery, after Slumbrew and Aeronaut. They are also open in the mornings for coffee.

Yeah. This doesn't seem strange to me at all. Peoples' habits mean hundreds of them saw through word of mouth that this was happening, in a timely way, and showed up and formed lines out the door. Most of those people are in the habit of "checking FB" and not in the habit of "checking a circuit of websites of soon to open new restaurants in case they posted something."

Their website hasn't been updated since last October; I'm guessing they're using Facebook until they launch an actual website to replace their fundraising-progress blog. Looking forward to visiting the brewery!

They have now updated their website. The place filled up within 15 minutes after it opened this afternoon.
