good car mechanic needed!

Can you recommend a good (local) car mechanic?  Diagnostic code suggests ignition system problem. Late 90's Toyota. Many thanks.

Alewife Auto very much; very honest and have always described the issues and the options we could take. They are usually busy but if you go in and tell them you have the light on they will check it to root out the problem; ask for George or Mike.

Aram at Belmont Auto Repair is excellent. He only works on Toyotas, Hondas, Subarus, and one other brand I forget (Mazda? Nissan?)

I've had really good experiences with Arco in Teele Square - they are not just tires. They saved me $2k the day after xmas when they told me they could just patch my exhaust system on a car I wasn't going to hold on to much longer. Took care of me quickly and were very honest.

I love Arco Tire. I have been using them for a decade, now, and have never had to take something to them twice.

I've had good results with the Mobil station at the base of River St. in Cambridgeport. Their mechanic works 8-6 weekdays, 8-2 Saturdays.

Car Zone in Union Square is, without a doubt, the best garage/mechanic I've ever used in my life. Murph and his team are honest, fairly-priced, and incredibly helpful in keeping an older car alive. We have a 1993 Corolla that we use as our in-town car that, while not pretty, is still running almost 300k miles in thanks to him and his team.

While not right in Davis, it's a short walk to Bloc 11, Neighborhood Bakery, or other places to hang out while they do the work.
