I've gotten keys duplicated at the Ace hardware a few doors down from the 1369 coffee shop in Inman Sq, Cambridge, at Saraco's knife sharpening store on Medford St (near the intersection of B'way) in Winter Hill, Somerville, and at the hardware store in Harvard Sq. All 3 have given me good dupes cheaply and quickly.

The hardware store on Boston Ave by Tufts also does it cheap and fast.

There is a paint store that duplicates keys in Ball Square - on Broadway - across from the dry cleaner and White Hen Pantry.

Commonwealth Lock and Key on Mass Ave just before the Porter Exchange in Porter Square has excellent key duplication services. I had several keys copied at hardware stores and the UPS store in Davis/Porter and none of them worked properly or lasted long, but all of they keys I've had copied at Commonwealth Lock and Key have been robust and worked correctly.
