Julie's Nails has closed

Just noticed that the Julie's Nails salon next to McKinnon's is completely empty, with no note on the door. They must have closed very suddenly -- as I was looking in the window, someone walked by and said "I just had an appointment there last week!"

When Pigs Fly is moving into that location, I believe. It's definitely an upgrade for everyone! Hopefully some more attractive, useful, tasty, local businesses can open and thrive in the heart of Davis. The Diva restaurant space is a big one to fill!

It was Julie's Nails, not Jenny's.

When Pigs Fly's window sign says they will open at their new location on February 1.

And next to When Pigs Fly, the Maximum Hesh skateboard shop has closed. Their blog says that the landlord non-renewed their lease so that Opa Greek Yeeros next door can expand.

I just received an email from Julie's Nails stating that they relocated to 237 Highland Avenue and will open there no later than February 1st.

When Pigs Fly hasn't yet closed. I just bought sourdough from them yesterday ($2 every Wednesday). The man behind the counter didn't know if there would be any period of closure before the new location opens on February 1.

Yet another reason to not give any business to Opa Greek Yeeros.

Ugh.
