Wedding Location?

Can anyone suggest a place to hold a wedding in or near Davis Square? This could include Teele, Porter, etc. We'll have about 90 people. We're looking for good food and a space for about 3-4 hours--could be a restaurant, hall, or some other creative space.

Some considerations:
Parking--not everyone on our guest list is T-friendly. Valet parking might be an option.
Stairs--some guests won't be able to handle stairs too well.
Dancing--we don't require it, but some people are all about the dancing when it comes to weddings--we don't want to disappoint!

My fiance and I have been living here for three years, and really want to have our wedding in this community because we love it so much!

Thanks!

The events had food, I think all of them were catered station-style. It's been long enough that I have no idea what kitchen facilities were available. They don't seem to have a website, but I'm sure they'd be happy to answer questions if you give them a call.

I'm pretty sure the Somerville Museum has no kitchen.

My hubby and I are (among?) the "friends who had great events there." We didn't Cater it, per se, in as much as went through Whole Foods Catering and Party department, bought food and took it there ourselves and served it buffet-style. On the plus side, it's really lovely and the directors are wonderful, friendly, nice people. On the minus side, they have a half-flight of stairs to get in, and the only restrooms are in the basement. There is no kitchen, and the only parking is on-street.

Some other friends of mine got married at Antony's on Highland Ave. and Central St. This is about as much of a stretch from "Davis" as the Somerville Museum, is a little less artsy, quirky, pretty, and fun, but on the other hand is specifically designed for events like this, has all the staff, etc., to make it happen, and has plenty of free parking.

I've been to lovely, classy, catered art openings and other city meetings in the Dover Plaza on Dover Street (right behind Someday), too.

Or go totally retro and rent out Sacco's. ;-)

Congrats! and good luck.

Regarding Dover Plaza -- if you're referring to Gallery Bershad, that's unfortunately been gone for several years. I miss it.
